Scholarships

Categories

Scholarships are offered across four streams:
  • Future Leaders Scholarships
  • Access and Equity Scholarships
  • Military Leadership Scholarships
  • Grabovac Family Scholarship at the Australian Catholic University

How Many?

Each year, the Foundation awards up to 100 scholarships for tertiary study. Scholarships cover 50% to 100% of tuition fees.

Closing Dates and Notifications

Scholarship applications are accepted year-round. Successful applicants are notified in writing during the last week of April each year. 

Selection Criteria

  • Clear evidence of notable leadership, community engagement, and/or extracurricular participation​
  • Strong academic results 
  • Leadership capability (demonstrated and potential) 
  • Professional goals
  • Capacity to contribute to a chosen career, profession, society or community 
  • ​Hardship evidence (for access and equity scholarships)

Course Options

Successful candidates may choose from a range of academic and vocational courses. Academic options include the MBA and DBA, while vocational options include Business Management, Project Management, Human Resources Management, Retail Management, Frontline Management, Paralegal Studies, Mediation, Criminal Justice, Journalism, Counselling and Nursing.

Scholarship Conditions

  1. Only successful applicants will be contacted. Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted
  2. Any candidates who do not fully complete the application forms or do not meet the selection criteria will be disqualified from the selection process
  3. Successful applicants grant permission for the foundation to create a short recipient profile on the foundation’s web page.

Scholarship Administration

The Foundation’s scholarship applications are reviewed by the Grants Administrator for completeness, suitability, and confirmation that applicants satisfy the eligibility requirements for scholarship consideration. Scholarship recipients are selected through a competitive application process.
Future Leaders Scholarship
Picture
​Young people and adults aged 18 to 35 may be awarded full or partial scholarships, enabling recipients to choose from a wide range of vocational, career-focused courses delivered with our college partners.

Purpose
​

To identify, develop, and accelerate emerging leaders by removing financial barriers and investing in people who show clear potential to create impact. The scholarship supports recipients in strengthening their skills, translating initiative into capability, and applying their learning in real-world settings, so they can contribute meaningfully to their communities, workplaces, and fields of study.

​Applicants are assessed on demonstrated leadership potential, community involvement, or sustained extracurricular contribution, with a focus on evidence of initiative, responsibility, and measurable outcomes rather than achievement alone.

Applicants must provide
​
  • Clear evidence of notable leadership, community engagement, and/or extracurricular participation
  • ​Supporting documentation submitted with the application

Conditions
  • Selection is competitive and based on the strength of the application and supporting evidence
  • ​Scholarship is conditional on continued satisfactory academic progress throughout the program

​Access and Equity Scholarship
Picture
Designed for students with strong academic results and meaningful extracurricular service who are facing financial hardship that could otherwise limit their ability to progress and build a successful career.

​Applicants must provide
​
  • Evidence of strong academic performance and meaningful extracurricular contributions.
  • ​Evidence of financial hardship, supported by documentation (e.g., a government support statement or equivalent proof, evidence of obligations as a caregiver, etc).

Conditions

  • Continued satisfactory academic progress is required
  • Strength of hardship evidence 
  • Notability of extracurricular ​contributions to worthy causes

​​Military Leadership Scholarship
Picture
​Army, Navy or Air Force officers are chosen annually as recipients of the Military Scholarship. The scholarship recognises officers who demonstrate leadership growth potential and a commitment to professional development and service.

​All programmes eligible for funding are self-paced distance learning programmes, enabling personnel to study from any location.

Applicants must be commissioned officers in either the regular defence force or reserves.
